Yesterday, different sectors of Davao City and nearby cities and provinces converged at Freedom Park and marched to Rizal Park in order to protest the passage of HR 1109 and the so-called Constitutional Assembly of the Congress.

Lighting the Beacons of Hope

Today we protest the shame that our so-called honorable representatives have brought upon our land. We light the beacons of hope in our own localities, through the worldwide web to fight against this travesty that they thought we wouldn’t care about. But we do… we care about this country, and we will not allow them to think otherwise.

Join us as we fight against the ramming of the Con-Ass. Here in Davao City, we will be converging at 5 pm at the Freedom Park, from where we will be marching to Rizal Park. Join us as we kindle hope.

Dear Congressman Prospero Nograles,

SHAME ON YOU!

You were elected, virtually unopposed and by a large margin, by the people of the First District of Davao City. But your actions as our “representative” do not reflect the needs and aspirations of your constituents. Rather, you have acted on your own accord to serve your own political aspirations, those of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and your respective political parties, and allies. SHAME ON YOU!
