If Joc-Joc Bolante is Deported

What then?!
Senator (and presidential wannabe) Senator Mar Roxas has asked that Joc-Joc Bolante of the Fertilizer Scam be deported to the Philippines. Allegedly, more than P700 million of funds for fertilizers were diverted for the campaign funds of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
IF Bolante is deported back to the Philippines, what will happen? Will he undergo a Senate inquiry? Will charges be filed against him and all the suspects who STOLE money from the Filipino people? Will Arroyo finally be impeached?
I doubt it. I hope so, but I doubt it. Yes, we can hope, we certainly can, that Bolante’s deportation will pave the way for the truth to be revealed and justice to be served. But better not hold your breath for it.
At best Bolante will be used as a pawn in this crazy game of Philippine politics. Either he will deny to death, or squeal and tell-all as Jun Lozada did. Either way, I doubt if anybody will be prosecuted or convicted. It will be as if another circus came to town, people engrossed in the drama or if all, making opinions, arguing and debating. But it will become old news, politicians will find something new to bicker and grandstand about, and all will just be a vague memory to the Filipino people. And once again, Arroyo and her cohorts will escape prosecution.
So if Bolante is deported, life will just go on. It will be chaotic and interesting for a while, but only until the next scandal, scam, controversy or whistle blower will come our way.
