Militar vs Baluran

After his resignation as City Council Floor Leader, Davao City Councilor Bonifacio Militar left some hanging statements which cast doubt on some of his colleagues. Days ago, he finally named Councilor Conrado Baluran as the councilor who campaigned to oust Militar. Militar then accused Baluran of trying to do some favors for his friends while disregarding proper Council rules and procedures.
Militar has stated that Councilors Cabling, Apostol, Al-ag and Advincula has affirmed to him that Baluran inded approached them to have Militar replaced as Floor Leader. On March 24, the Council Committee on Ethics will hold a hearing regarding this issue.
It has been barely a year since the councilors were (re-)elected. And a major controversy is already brewing. Hopefully, this will turn out to be just a minor scuffle among the councilors and will not hamper their performance.
