Estrada, de Castro, Fernando, Belmonte Join List of Presidentiables

Senators Manuel Villar (Nacionalista Party) and Manuel Roxas II (Liberal Party) were the earliest to declare their intentions to run for President in 2010. Both the opposition and the administration are said to be considering both as their official candidates.

Now, there’s buzz that former President Joseph Estrada is also eying to run again. Similarly, Vice-President Noli de Castro is being considered by the administration to be their candidate.

Also being considered are Quezon City Mayor Sonny Belmonte and MMDA Chairperson Bayani Fernando who, I might say, I absolutely loathe.

Now that Lakas-NUCD has broken ties with Gloria Macapal-Arroyo’s Kampi, there might be three major Presidential candidates in 2010. I think the three will be de Castro, Villar, and Roxas.

Just to correct something: Mar Roxas is not III but II. His father was Gerry Roxas and his grandpa is Manuel Roxas.

In addition to presidentiables: Fidel Ramos and Gilbert Teodoro…

Bayani Fernado is the most viable alternative to our present system of governance. I dont trust those populist trapos.

Why, may I ask, do you loathe Bayani Fernando? Personally, I agree with what andrew almeda said.

I think you should consider Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte its about time to have a CHANGE the proof that he is qualified is the Davao itself. So Filipino people if you really want a true change and not a TRAPO politician try to consider Mayor Duterte if administration and opposition would not consider this I think we should consider it and in the end its not them who will decide who will be the President but rather we Filipino people have the power to make Philippines a better country.

Hello Maria. Looks like the BF4P movement is hitting the internet with as much force as they can manage, with websites and forums and comments to blog posts, not to mention mass email. I’ve been at the receiving end of encouragement, exhortation and accusations of being “walang urbanidad” (he he he) but this is one vote they are NOT going to get.

BTW, thanks to your blog I saw the Davao Students walk-out video on YouTube. I’m putting it up on my blog as well.
