Mar Roxas in 2010?
November 16th, 2007 at 1:40 am (General, National Politics, Elections 2010)
Months ago, Davao City Councilor Peter LaviƱa started a blog entitled A Liberal in MalacaƱang in 2010. It is an unabashed campaign to have a Philippine President from the Liberal Party (LP_ in 2010. The blog zeroes in on Senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas II as the best possible option. Another blogger Kevin Ray N. Chua also maintains a blog campaigning for Roxas.
Today, LP announced that a new president will take over LP by November 26, and Roxas is the most likely candidate. This is in preparation for his candidacy in 2010. This despite the on-going rift between the Drilon and Atienza factions of LP.
Roxas has remarkable credentials as a Senator, backed up by a prominent family ties. And influential former President Joseph Estrada is reported to be considering lending his support to Roxas. Add to this Roxas’ relationship with high profile broadcaster Korina Sanchez. Roxas definitely has what it takes to win the 2010 elections.
The more important question is will he make a significant difference to our ailing country and our impoverished citizens?

I believe Mar Roxas is a viable alternative come 2010. He is an option that is considered a probably non-trapo as compared to other politicians aiming for the presidency. However, I have questions on his credibility on different issues. Most important issues, he remained mum about it, you can hardly see where he stands.
While I personally admire Sen. Salonga and his support for Mar would incline me to vote for Mar, I want somebody who is tough, firm, and clear on where he stands. It doesn’t matter where he stood his ground, even if it’s the opposite of what I believe.
He might have a presidential last name, but he still needs to convince me that he is different from the rest of the pack.
Rest assured that right before the election, he might announce his engagement to Korina. If he does, I would think that he is as trapo as the rest.

If you want a change we should consider Mayor Duterte of Davao he is a good leader. He will bring change in our country and not a TRAPO politician
Vice President= Mayor Lim this are the real people who will bring the change

gusto ko ang bihasa about economy,
A graduate of Wharton School of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, Roxas worked as an investment banker, mobilizing venture capital funds for small and medium enterprises before running for public office. so may kakayahan ka na palaguin ikonomiya ng pilipinas, dahil dyan ka graduate
