Rep. Abante Claims Cash Gifts are From Arroyo’s KAMPI

After the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) claimed it was them who distributed cash gifts, Manila Representative Bienvenido Abante Jr. is now claiming that it came from KAMPI. According to Abante, Representative Amelita Villarosa personally called him up twice to confirm that the money came from KAMPI. Abante is a LAKAS-NUCD member.

It’s the second group to claim that they gave out the cash gifts to local government officials. What for? Probably to clear Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s name of bribery. The cash gifts are said to be bribes for supporting a weak impeachment complaint against Arroyo. Now that the LPP and KAMPI are claiming they were the ones to have given the cash gifts, the issue is more muddled. Rather than clarifying things, these groups have only managed to fudge the truth.

Again, more questions come to mind. Why are LPP and KAMPI handing out cash gifts? Where does the money come from? Why claim only now?

Only one thing, in my opinion is clear, a lot of people are doing their best to try to cover up for whoever is the real culprit.

quite obviously, there is a power struggle behind the palace. it is clearly evident when the “cash gifts” issue began to unravel. to shield away the queen from the issue, they try to become heroes in the queen’s eyes to gain more favors. unfortunately, it only confirmed what they were really doing. shielding the queen.
