Bejamin Abalos Resigns as COMELEC Commissioner

I would like to congratulate Benjamin Abalos Sr. for finally realizing that his being a public service is actually a disservice to the country. Today, Abalos resigned as COMELEC Commissioner. And I thought all there was no ounce of decency was left in the guy.
Some quarters take the resignation as an admission of guilt. I agree.
Meanwhile, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is surprised by the resignation. Her reaction is not entirely surprising, considering how she has not resigned despite the numerous intrigues, scandals, and controversies hounding her.
I am hoping that Abalos’ resignation will pave the way for a better investigation into all the scandals and controversies that he is involved.
