CHEd Call Center Lab: Another Controversy Brewing?

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) has raised the red flag on the questionable Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) Call Center Lab deal.

Allegedly, the project’s price went up from PhP 300 million to PhP 500 million. That’s a very big difference of PhP 200 million worth of taxpayers’ money. Moreover, cash advances amounting to PhP 75 million has been released.

The project in question is the Integrated Multisite Business Process Outsourcing Incubation Contact Centers (IMBPO-ICC) also known as the CHEd Call Center Lab which is a project of the administration.

Hopefully, ACT’s complaints will be heard and properly addressed by the Senate and the Congress.

I have an idea. Rather than wringing our hands, and doing any investigations, why don’t we just end expensive unnecessary crap like this?
