Arroyo Orders Cabinet Officials to Attend NBN Hearings
September 18th, 2007 at 11:14 pm (General, National Politics)
In a surprising move, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has ordered cabinet officials involved in the NBN (National Broadband Network) ZTE Corp deal to attend the Senate hearings on the matter. This despite EO 464, and after Mike Arroyo left the country.
Finally, a laudable act from Arroyo. Hopefully, the cabinet officials’ presence in the hearing will yield something productive and conclusive, rather than delay the process and complicate the matter.
