Arroyo Speaks on the NBN Deal
September 13th, 2007 at 5:46 pm (General, National Politics)
Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is once again so obviously hiding something. Instead of directly defending the integrity of the National Broadband Network (NBN) deal with China’s ZTE Corporation, she has asserted that all government contracts should be honored.
What if said contract goes contrary to public interest? What if said contract is being questions by many sectors (and not just the media as Arroyo is implying)? What if said contract is being suspected of having been entered into through bribery? What if said contract is overpriced?
Is the government really powerless in all this? Or is she part of the whole scam to rob the Filipino taxpayers of quality, relevant services?
Instead of answering and addressing the issue, Arroyo’s statement just elicited more questions to be asked.
