Cashing in on the Elections
April 1st, 2007 at 12:43 pm (General, Election 2007)
As I was surfing the internet, researching for useful and reliable information about the upcoming elections, I was directed to a seemingly informative blog: Philippine Elections 2007 (url: http://philippineelections2007.blogspot.com). I say seemingly because, in my opinion, the blog is nothing but a stupid excuse to earn money off people’s need for information.
Yes, I do not deny that I earn money from this blog. But there’s a very big difference between earning money from blogging, and making a blog for the sole purpose of earning money from it. A blog’s foremost objective, in my opinion, is to inform.
Below are screencaps of the blog that show how the real purpose of the blog. You be the judge:

The Main Page
- Failure of Elections in Maguindanao
- How to Run the Philippine Elections According to Benjamin Abalos
- All eyes on Lanao del Sur
- Peaceful Elections?
- Snap Elections

Money brings out the best and worst of people. That’s my comment #1. But politics? Only the worst. That’s my comment #2. Having said that, let me congratulate you for this cool blog. Wow, under what stone have I been hiding that I never stumbled upon this site until I joined MyBlogLog? Anyway, better late than never.
