Rep. Edmund Reyes

Maybe, when his political career is over, he should consider a career as a teleserye kontrabida.

Good intentions on the part of Rep. Reyes, but said the wrong words.
The gossip columnist Victor Agustin said Reyes’ father apologized for the antics of his son. Maybe Reyes Jr. is trying to distance himself from the senior, who is perceived to be a Marcos agent.
Just the same, its the youth that will carry this nation forward, and will rinse the country of its ills.
I told MLQ3 once that maybe what we need is a revolution, an armed one, a civil war. Because we seem to lack closure about past sins, past troubles. We tried People Power, but look where we are now. I am no warmonger, but looking at the histories of the great countries now, they had civil wars in one form or another, and that’s what we lack. Heaven forbid.
Bukluran is a good attempt, and I support it, but I am uncertain after it achieves it purpose. I hope that deep in their hearts, the convenors of that group accept the fact that they are part of the problem
Just my five centavos worth of worthless opinion.

Not exactly worthless. I am quite hesitant to side with anybody solidly in this issue because the people on both sides are the same people, essentially, in that they all contribute to the wrongs in our country.
I think that the singlemost important value the Filipinos lack is appreciation for our history. Our current situation and problems could have been avoided if we learned lessons from our past.

Very true. I always say this to those who won’t take sides: being in the sidelines means you have already sided - with the majority of the people who has not learned their history. This is a democracy; hence you have to take sides or surrender your right. My one centavo worth.
Anyway, impeachment is 98% dead (there is still SC, though I am not hopeful). So what’s next? GMA until 2010. That’s how I see it.

“Unfortunately, he only managed to alienate and insult the members of the House of Representatives.”
Hindi rin. Paano mo iinisultuhin ang mga taong manhid na?
I’m proud to be a Marinduqueño.
